Stewardship Committee Plan 2010 -2011

Four New Member Welcome Brunches will be held to introduce new parish member to St. Eugene and its members.  Parish Leaders or their designee will introduce themselves and highlight the opportunities for fellowship and service within their committees.

Dates are - October 3, 2010, November 14, 2010, February 6, 2011 and May 1, 2011.

Brunches will be held at the rectory following the 8 A.M. mass.

A Ministry Fair will be held following all the masses on the weekend of October 16 and 17, 2010.  This activity will be held in the church courtyard and will provide an opportunity for parish committees to answer questions concerning their activities and to enroll new members.

Stewardship Chair will also assist the Pastor, as requested, in educating the parish as to the need for the sharing of time, talent and treasures.

Members of the committee are:  Ginny Goss, Denise Willette, Martha Cauley, Beth Pursley, Pat Tarnaski, Tina Clark, Christy Pritchett, Carol Adams, Nora Cambier, Mickey Phillips, and Nadine Hill.

Safe Environment

* Continue to require certification of catechists, or anyone that works with the youth in any category within the parish.

* Continue training sessions conducted quarterly, or when necessary, that brings awareness to adults on cases of child abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, etc. These sessions will be 3 hours long each. Upon passing the post test provided by the Diocese of Raleigh, there will be a background check conducted by the Office Administration at St. Eugene.

* Continue to provide safe and protected areas within the church facility.

* Currently, all people working with the children/youth at St. Eugene Catholic Church have been trained and are active “C” category volunteers.
