Pastoral Staff
Fr. Joseph Lapauw was born on January 17, 1946 in Zwevegem, Belgium. Fr. Lapauw's initial formation (novitiate, philosophy, and theology) was in Belgium. He was sent to the Philippines in 1972 as a CICM missionary. Fr. Lapauw was ordained on December 27, 1973 in Pasig, Rizal in the Philippines. Fr. Lapauw's assignments were Pastor of St. Jude Parish, San Antonio, Texas; Director of Missionhurst-CICM Mission Center in Arlington, Virginia; Virginia Justice and Peace Coordinator for the CICM US Province; Pastor of San Ignacio Parish in Brownsville, Texas; Pastor of San Martin de Porres Parish in Brownsville, Texas, Provincial Superior of the US Province, Missionhurst, Arlington, Virginia, and Superior General of the CICM in Rome, Italy.

Fr. Ryan Zamora Carnecer was born in Panabo, Philippines on December 04, 1981. He studied from kinder to High School in Maryknoll High School. In 1998, he entered CICM Maryshore seminary. He finished philosophy in 2002 at St. La Salle University, Bacolod City. He finished the novitiate year in 2003 and earned the degree in theological studies in 2007 at Maryhill School of Theology at New Manila, Quezon City. He was assigned to the U.S. Province / Missionhurst. His internship was facilitated by his academic studies at the Oblate School of Theology, Spanish Classes at Cuernavaca Language School in Mexico, a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in New Mexico and served as chaplain at Presbyterian Hospital, Albuquerque City. He was assigned in the Sacred Heart Church, San Antonio, Texas for the first part of his parish base internship. Then, he finished his internship in St. Eugene Parish. After his priesthood ordination in the Philippines, he was assigned to St. Eugene Parish, NC as a parochial vicar.

Gail Hernandez was born on June 7, 1956 and raised on Long Island, NY. She graduated in 1974 from Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset, NY. She moved to Wake County in 1976. She married her husband Phil, on March 3, 1979 and is the proud mother of four children. She has worked in a bank, worked at two preschools in the area, and worked at St. Eugene since December 1997. For some reason "this is where I belong" is something Gail says on a regular basis.
Jim Marshall received a Bachelor of Music from Southwest Texas State University and a Masters Degree
in Keyboard and Vocal Performance from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Mr. Marshall is a member of National Association of Pastoral Musicians, Cary-Apex Piano Teachers Guild, American Guild of Organists, National Association of Choral Teachers, and National Association of Music Teachers. He teaches private lessons in piano at the Music and Arts Center in Cary and teaches private lessons in voice in his home studio. He has concertized extensively in the US and Europe, as a soloist, a choral singer with the Robert Shaw Chorale, and as a conductor of choral groups. He was Music Director and Conductor of the Raleigh Oratorio Society (now the NC Master Chorale) for 23 years. He has sung with orchestras such as The New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Princeton Symphony, the San Antonio Symphony, and others. In 2002 he was invited to conduct the Prague Symphony in a Festival of Dvorak's music in three cities in Europe. His choral groups have sung in Carnegie Hall in NYC and have toured European cities. Mr. Marshall has served as St. Eugene Parish's Music Director for eight years.
Patricia Clemmer was born on July 16, 1967 in New Jersey. While she was still a baby, her father decided he was tired of shoveling snow, and he moved his family to California. Trish grew up along the west coast, from San Jose to Seattle. She went to Eastern Washington University and to Joliet Junior College. She majored in Fashion Business Merchandising and soon she began traveling with her retail management career. In July of 1992, she got married to a wonderful native North Carolina boy and settled down. She now has three beautiful daughters and lives in Louisburg. She volunteers at the schools and is a girl scout leader. She taught Confirmation and now is doing her best to be a DRE that teaches all the rich history of our Church and Traditions but with emphasis God's love and compassion.
A Native of Lima, Peru and have lived in the states for 40+ years. She lived in Connecticut, Florida, Nevada and
now in North Carolina. During her working career, she have had jobs as executive assistant, buyer, contract administrator; secretary / bookkeeper; human resources assistant, etc. She also worked as systems analyst for Nielsen Media Research, in charge of running survey studies in the phone center. She served as a Notary public in Florida and Nevada.
She did volunteer work for the Hot Line Intervention Center and Hospice. She was also a Girl Scout leader for 3 yrs.
She has a wonderful daughter, who is her pride and joy. She Loves animals and has plenty of them at home. She loves the beach and still missing Florida! She visits Peru every chance she has. She has still her many relatives and friends there.
