We are St. Eugene!

Our Mission Statement

"We have come together in our common faith as God’s Holy People.

Strengthened by the Word of God and nourished by His Sacraments,

we step forth in faith to love and serve one another”.

Pastor’s Vision Statement

My vision for St Eugene’s parish is to continue to grow as a catholic community of faith, hope, love and service. Each parishioner is invited to share his/her time, talent and treasure in a spirit of stewardship in one or other ministry or service in the  Liturgical and Sacramental ministries, the Religious Education and Faith Formation ministries, in the social ministries or in the administrative and maintenance services of the parish or through one of the parish organizations.  St Eugene’s parish is known as a warm, welcoming catholic community. We want to continue to foster that spirit.

St Eugene’s parish will continue to grow as a cultural diverse community where all parishioners feel at home and can share their talents and gifts. We will continue to create moments where the Anglo , Hispanic  and other cultural communities celebrate together like during the Advent and Lenten Penance Services,  International Food and Music Festival, the Walk for Human Need,  International Christmas Caroling event etc. The new church and parish hall will offer new opportunities.

St Eugene’s parish will continue to reach out to the marginalized through the ministries to the migrants, the homeless (Brown Bag Ministry), the community garden project, parish outreach of Catholic Charities etc.

St Eugene’s will continue to be an active member of the Triangle East Fellowship of Churches  and be involved in the different events the TEFC organizes like the Fund for Human Need, the annual Thanksgiving prayer service,  the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration etc.

St Eugene will continue to nourish the faith of its members through the fostering of a strong spiritual life through the Liturgical and Sacramental life, Faith Formation through Scripture reflection, recollections and spiritual exercises especially during Advent and Lent.
